June 9th Stripers!!

Slug-gos beat out live pollack!!!

Another great afternoon of fishing. Thanks Mike, Rick, and Chris. The bait of choice, you guessed it, the 6" Arkansas Shiner slug-go. At any point in time we would be fishing a live pollack, a slug-go, and a sand eel deciever. The slug-go produced a ton more fish hands down! The retrieve was fast as hell and was producing some awesome hits!! Today was also the fist day that we hooked into some bluefish. I had on 4 and lost them all. Three of them were 2 or 3 pounders while one was in the 6 to 8 pound class. Coincidentally upon looking at my log from last season, the first blues that we hooked were also on June 9th. If Confusious were an angler and here today he would say, "there are no rules with fish, just patterns!"
