Mackeral and Pollack at Breaking Rocks!!

I went out to Breaking Rocks today, anchored up and started chumming and boy did the bait show up. At any one time I could see 10 to 50 pollack and large mackeral right behind the chum bag. I rigged up a small rod with 4 pound test, a size 8 trout hook and a 3/0 split shot and began picking them off with tiny pieces of cut bait that I drifted into the chumline. A few times I even hooked up on the bare hook!!! It was a serious feeding frenzy!! I put about 30 pollack and 3 or 4 mackeral in the live wells and back to the river I went to start doing drifts with this striper candy!!
