PARKER RIVER STRIPERS

The one that got away!!

May 19th
My charter started out pretty darn slow this morning with no fish being boated for the first couple of hours. We began fishing out in front of Plum Island just to see if anything was going on out there, nothing. We moved up into the Ipswich, nothing. We made the cruise way up into the Parker River to warm water and running herring, hammer time!! The fish averaged 18 inches and were hitting a variety of flies in the yellow and white and chartreuse and white color schemes. Lots of fun!! We also had one beauty hooked underneath the route 1A bridge that managed to get away. It was all of 30 inches and has a chartreuse clouser planted in it's upper lip!! Back at it tommorrow!!
