Connecticut River walleye, browns, smallies

Plenty of great trout, walleye and bass action up in my favorite section of River this weekend. Basically during these warm summer periods we are targeting turbulent white water that is associated with a deep hole. The fish have the choice of hanging in the cool depths or feeding up in the oxygen rich white water. The bigger fish have been coming on just about any type of big streamer pattern that has a dark top and white underside. Also plenty of mayfly and caddis hatches for all you dry fly purists. It has been a blast fishing up here, a mere 2 hours and 15 minutes from Joppa Flats, over the past two weekends. This river has a ton to offer and the section I fish is only acccessible by canoe unless of course you have a jet motor! Any of the holes we fish hold a mixed bag of rainbows, browns, walleye, and smallmouth. Just a lot of fun!
