THE CAPTAIN
Captain Reilly McCue is a fully insured United States
Coast Guard Captain. He currently holds a Near-Coastal
Master License. Captain McCue has a deep seeded interest
in the New England out of doors.
He studied wildlife biology at U.V.M.
and currently manages Spikehorn Ridge Inc. (www.spikehornridge.com),
a family run outdoor guide service in Vermont. The world
class fishery and waterfowling of Northern New England's
coast is Reilly's true passion and he invites you to
join him for a day of exploration that will bring you
back to this area for years.
EQUIPMENT
The boats that we use are ideal for shallow flats fishing
and offer the most stable casting platforms on the market.
We run 16 to 20 foot G3 boats equipped with 40 to 115
horsepower yamaha jet motors. These setups allow us
to access truly "skinny" water where these
fish are most commonly found feeding. We also provide
rods, reels, lines, leaders, flies and all other terminal
tackle on all of our fishing excursions. Along with
a boat, fly and spinning gear, and terminal tackle,
we provide a United States Coast Guard Captain who is
on the water fishing and studying the feeding patterns
of these fish day in and day out.
FLYFISHING
RATES
We do two 7 hour charters daily, one from first light
until noon and the other from 1pm until 8 pm. A seven
hour fishing excursion runs for $450 and holds a space
for two anglers. Additional anglers may be included
for an additional $75 per person. At time of reservation,
we ask for a $150 deposit. This year we are also offering
a 5 day discount package where a purchase of 5 or more
charters will only run you $350 per charter and are
good for the duration of the season. Feel free to ask
about customizing your trip to the time of day, night,
tide and length that you are looking for!
MASSACHUSETTS
FLYFISHING LOCATION
This amazing fishery is just north of Boston's Logan
Airport and only 3 and 1/2 hours outside of New York
City. We use several different boat launches to the
north and south of Plum Island depending on where the
fish are biting the best and will provide detailed directions
to the launch in the days prior to your trip.
